Which payment methods does Amina Modest accept?
We want your checkout experience to be as seamless as possible. We accept a wide variety of major credit and debit cards, as well as digital wallets and installment plans. You can pay using:

• Digital Wallets: PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.

Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. Your security is our top priority. The padlock symbol located in your browser’s address bar (beginning with "https") indicates that you are shopping in a secure, encrypted environment.

Furthermore, our store is hosted on Shopify, which is Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This means we meet the highest industry standards for data protection. Amina Modest does not store your full credit card number; all transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways to prevent unauthorized access.

When will my card be charged?
When you place an order, an authorization hold for the total amount is placed on your payment method to reserve the funds. Depending on your bank and the payment method used, the actual charge is typically processed when your order is confirmed or when it ships.

If the payment cannot be authorized (for example, if the amount exceeds your credit limit), you will receive a notification at checkout asking you to try a different method.

Do you accept international credit cards?
Yes, we welcome international customers. When using an international card, please ensure that you enter the exact billing address associated with that card (the address where your bank statements are sent). Mismatches between the billing address entered and the address on file with your bank may cause the transaction to be declined for security reasons.

Can I use a card that belongs to someone else?
Yes, you may use a card that is not in your name, provided you have the cardholder's permission. However, you must enter the billing address that matches the cardholder’s account details, even if the shipping address is your own.

What is the Security Code (CVV) and where do I find it?
The CVV (Card Verification Value) is a unique 3 or 4-digit security feature that verifies you are in physical possession of the card.

• Visa, MasterCard, Discover: The 3-digit code is found on the back of the card, usually in the signature strip.
• American Express: The 4-digit code is found on the front of the card, located just above the main card number.

How are sales taxes calculated?
Taxes are calculated automatically at checkout based on applicable federal, state, and provincial tax laws regarding the shipping destination. The tax amount displayed during checkout is an estimate; the final calculation is confirmed when your order is processed. Please note that while we do not charge tax on the purchase of Gift Cards, items bought using a Gift Card are subject to normal taxation.

Why was my payment declined?
If your payment was declined, please check the following:

1. Billing Mismatch: Ensure the billing address matches exactly what your bank has on file.
2. Typographical Errors: Check that the card number, expiration date, and CVV were entered correctly.
3. Bank Restrictions: Some banks flag unexpected online purchases as a security measure. You may need to contact your bank to authorize the transaction.

Can I split payment between two different cards?
Currently, our system allows for only one credit or debit card to be used per transaction. However, you can combine a valid Amina Modest Gift Card with a credit card to complete a purchase if the gift card balance does not cover the full total.
